WE ARE HERE FOR YOU
We believe in the strength, beauty, and resilience of Black and Brown girls and women. The Detroit Women of Color, Inc. will share resources and support to help our participants thrive during this worldwide pandemic of Coronavirus/COVID 19. Now more than ever, it is important that we lift their stories through digital storytelling, sisterhood, leadership development, and healing.

LIFTING THE VOICES OF BLACK AND BROWN
GIRLS AND WOMEN THROUGH FILM
The Detroit Women of Color, Inc. distinguishes itself from other local film festivals and programs that strictly focus on entertainment. We believe in the power of Black and Brown girls and women to shape their own stories and change the world. We nurture leaders to use their collective voices to advocate for their rights, develop a marketable skill set that expands beyond filmmaking, and produce media innovators who redefine the way girls and women of color are perceived.
